Proudly serving the Chicagoland senior community

A history of care

Since 1995, our affiliate agency, National Home Health, has provided medical care to the city of Chicago and the collar counties. Through National Home Health, we have provided a wide array of services: home healthcare, medical social work, skilled nursing, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy.

However, we recognize that wellbeing goes beyond medical care. The aim of Chicago Home Health is to provide complete senior care, whether the need is social, emotional, practical, or medical.

A person’s first caregiver is often a family member who may be juggling a career or a growing family. Our services provide respite for family caregivers, alleviating some of their responsibilities while giving them peace of mind that their loved one is in safe hands. Specifically, we specialize in dementia care, tending to the unique challenges families face while caring for a family member with memory loss.

Alyce Senior Center opened its doors in 2017. Its founder is a recipient of the Dementia Capable Care Specialist Credential from the Crisis Prevention Institute. Additionally, all on-site staff receive mandatory Alzheimer’s and Dementia Training. Our Senior Center provides health monitoring and nutritional support while helping seniors combat loneliness, connect with peers, and engage in fun activities and outings.

For those who require regular in-home care, our caregiver services can help. We aim to support the independence of seniors living at home so that they can remain in their communities and continue usual activities with friends and family nearby. Completely customized care ensures that assistance is offered only when desired, and client independence and autonomy are respected. In addition to providing companionship and support, our caregivers help clients maintain their home, diet, and personal hygiene. For those with medical needs, home health services may be arranged upon request.

Our mission is to support the needs of family caregivers and improve the quality of life of senior adults by supporting their independence, dignity, and health. Everyone benefits by asking for help.
